Sausage Rolls

  • -4 Wäinzoossiss sausages
  • -230g all butter puff pastry
  • -Wholegrain mustard
  • -1 egg
  • -A dash of milk,
  • -Sesame seeds or poppy seeds, to decorate
Sausage Rolls

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.
  2. 2Slit the sausages lengthwise and remove the skins.
  3. 3Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4 long strips.
  4. 4Spread some wholegrain mustard on a first strip, lay the sausage meat on the pastry and roll up, sealing the pastry ends by pushing down on them with your hands. Cut into bite-sized pieces and put on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  5. 5In a little bowl, beat the egg with a dash of milk.
  6. 6Brush each sausage roll with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds.
  7. 7Bake the sausage rolls in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until nicely golden. Serve hot or cold.
