Fried Mushrooms

  • -500 g chestnut mushrooms
  • -3 garlic cloves
  • -1 tbsp olive oil
  • -1 tbsp butter (optional)
  • -Fresh thyme
  • -Salt & Pepper
  • -Pita Sauce
Fried Mushrooms

  1. 1Clean the mushrooms by rubbing them with a kitchen towel. Do not wash them with water. Cut off the bottom end of the mushroom stalk a little.
  2. 2Peel and chop the garlic.
  3. 3Heat the olive oil in a pan. When the pan is nice and hot, add the mushrooms. Fry them vigorously for 5 minutes.
  4. 4 Now add the garlic, fresh thyme and butter and fry everything for a further 5 minutes. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper.
  5. 5Before serving, remove the thyme stalks and sprinkle with a few fresh thyme leaves. Serve the mushrooms with Pita Sauce.
