A slice of bread with Kachkéis and mustard are as Luxembourgish as it gets! Recipe by Anne’s Kitchen.

  • -250g uncooked Kachkéis log
  • -100ml cream
  • -50ml white wine
  • -Salt and pepper
  • -Bread
  • -Original mustard
Kachkéis Schmier

  1. 1Cut the Kachkéis sausage into chunks and put into a saucepan with the cream and the white wine.
  2. 2Heat up and melt ,while stirring, until smooth. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. 3Pour the Kachkéis into a serving bowl and cover the cheese surface with clingfilm, so that it doesn’t form a skin while cooling.
  4. 4Leave to cool completely before refrigerating.
  5. 5When ready to serve, spread the Kachkéis onto a slice bread and top with a generous portion of original mustard.
