  • -250 g all-purpose flour
  • -10-12 g baking powder approx. 1 tablespoon
  • -3-5 g fine salt approx 1 teaspoon.
  • -120 g mayonnaise
  • -180 ml cold whole milk
  • -30 g salted butter, melted
  • -1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
Mayonnaise biscuits

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. 2In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and mayonnaise until smooth and fully combined.
  4. 4Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
  5. 5Mix gently just until a dough forms. Do not overmix — the dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
  6. 6Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it out by hand to a thickness of about 2 cm (avoid using a rolling pin for a fluffier texture).
  7. 7Cut out 8–10 biscuits using a round cutter or glass.
  8. 8Place the biscuits on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them and brush the tops with melted butter.
  9. 9Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
  10. 10Serve warm or let cool on a wire rack, then store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
