- -800 gr. ground beef (80/20)
- -1 large onion, finely grated
- -1 egg
- -25g of parsley, finely chopped
- -1/2 tsp paprika
- -1 tsp black pepper
- -1 tsp salt
- -80g breadcrumbs
- -1 tsp baking powder
- -Cooking oil for frying
- 1In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, paprika, pepper, salt, and baking powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2Shape the meat mixture it into 25-30 balls, then flatten them slightly with your hands.
- 3Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meat patties to the skillet an cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, cooking them in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. They should be cooked through and golden brown on the outside. Once cooked, remove the meat patties from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- 4Serve the Turkish-style meatballs with sliced tomatoes and onion salad made with chopped parsley, sumac, and olive oil on the side. Dip them in ketchup and mustard.
